About the Role:
Join our passionate team at Loudoun Pediatric Dentistry as a Pediatric Dental Assistant! In this role, you will play a vital part in creating a positive dental experience for children, ensuring their comfort and care during visits.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the dentist during pediatric dental procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow.
- Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment to maintain a safe environment.
- Help manage patient flow and schedule appointments efficiently.
- Educate children and parents on proper dental hygiene practices.
- Take and develop dental X-rays as needed.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
- Provide compassionate support to young patients to ease their anxiety.
- Collaborate with the dental team to ensure high-quality patient care.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; dental assistant certification preferred.
- Experience in pediatric dentistry is a plus.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with children effectively.
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility to rotate between Leesburg and Ashburn office are required.
- Knowledge of dental software and patient management systems.
- Current X-ray, BLS/CPR certification are required.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on patient comfort and safety.
- Positive attitude and a passion for working with children.
